About us
Hello, and welcome
We are Students Talking Sense.
Our team is made up of 4 Sheffield Hallam University students who are all studying journalism; hoping to advance into different parts of the industry post-graduation. Get to know Chloe Menesse, Jim Jefferies, Phoebe Melmoth and Talulah Pani in the “Meet the Team” section above.
You may be wondering where our name comes from. In society, there seems to be a huge misconception that most students are selfish and extremely naïve; people who don’t fully understand worldly issues. Here at Students Talking Sense, we aim to break down this stereotype and disprove it by producing news stories and features that are true and as neutral as possible.
The idea for this space came about through conversation. We had all wanted to start our own websites but understand how hard it can be to get views and gather a following when you first start out. So, we thought why not go at it together as a team – this way we can support each other on our journey and also provide a wider range of opinions for you, the readers.
This is just the start of our journey, and we are looking forward to seeing where this takes us.
So, stick around, subscribe at the bottom of the page, and let us know what you want to see more of in the “get in touch” section below.
Thanks,
The Students Talking Sense Team
