Jim Jefferies

Hi, my name is Jim. Let me introduce myself.

 

I am 20-years-old, and studying Journalism at Sheffield Hallam University. I would like to go into magazine journalism in the future, because I feel it is a much more creative side of the industry.

My favourite stories to write are those concerning mental health and issues surrounding the LGBTQIA+ community as these are topics that are usually side lined by bigger news outlets. Raising awareness and bringing these stories to light is something that I think is really important.

I recently worked with a small business called Flod_UK (on Instagram and Twitter) to help them gain more publicity. The story got picked up by the Sheffield Star and BBC News; it also helped the guys get an interview on BBC Radio Sheffield.

I also really enjoy photography and see it as something I could pursue as a career. You can check out some of my photography work below.
